The Irish Valais Blacknose Sheep Society hosted the first All-Ireland and the first dedicated Valais Blacknose classes at Bonniconlon Show in 2022.

In 2023 & 2024 The Irish Valais Blacknose Sheep Society ran four Regional Shows in locations around the country with the All-Ireland held centrally during the summer months. 

Preparations for showing begin 5 – 6 months before a show. The sheep should be shorn to have ideally 5.5 months – 6 months of wool growth when showing. The sheep at the point of showing should have 10cm length of fleece. This is important to consider if you intend to show your sheep. Wool length on head and legs should match that of the wool length on body.

The Irish Valais Blacknose Sheep Society 2025 All-Ireland will be held at Mullingar Agricultural Show on Sunday, 13th July 2025.
